So finally did it!!! Tied the knot!! After almost three years of being engaged. We did a few things backwards, like sending out " Save the Date" cards before we had a venue picked out, I had my dress two years before the wedding (thank 'god' it still fit), had one wedding location picked out, then decided to just have everything at the location of the reception!
Ben and I knew what we wanted for invitations but couldn't decide on how to go about getting what we wanted made. Then as always Facebook comes to the rescue!! A friend from high school, Becca (http://freckledfancy.blogspot.com/) posted on Facebook that she was wanting to design wedding invites, baby announcement, etc for her portfolio! I contacted her and said she can have a go at ours. She sent me some thoughts, I told her what we were looking for, a mix of travel and theatre I liked the Playbill look of a few invites I had seen online. She came back with.
When I first saw them I knew this was the right decision.
My Dress
My sister and my bouquet were made out of brooches, some where our grandmothers, some were vintage that we had bought, others were new. On the front one you can just see a gondola from Venice, where Ben and I started dating.
My shoes, my mum's corsage also has a vintage brooch, my necklace (was given to me for my Christining from my Nana & Papa) and earrings (They are my Aunt Carol who wore them at her wedding, my mum wore them for her's my cousin Kari-Lynn wore them too!)
Instead of having table numbers we had table places, pictures of Ben & I around the world!
